Florida Atlantic University heads to Denton, Texas to face off against the North Texas Mean Green. These two school have a lot in common heading into this game. They both are opening on campus new stadiums this year, have gotten off to rough starts, and have to compete against major in state schools for recruiting.
This is a very important game for FAU to come home with a victory to open the new stadium. The biggest fear going into this season was opening with very little fanfare due to a poor start. FAU came close to the first victory of the season against ULL, but they fell short.
Similar to FAU, North Texas is at the bottom of most offensive and defensive categories in the nation. Last year FAU lost to North Texas in Lockhart. This is a big opportunity for FAU to avenge last year and come home with some momentum in the new stadium.
